North East singer Anna Reay is looking ahead to the Great North Run and a special gig

Versatile North East singer Anne Reay has two big dates in September to look forward to – one on the stage and one on the road.

On September 17 you will find her at Durham’s Gala Theatre performing her show Great Ladies of Song.

This will feature classic numbers forever associated with renowned singers from different eras and in a variety of genres.

For the price of one ticket, audience members will hear the songs of Nina Simone, Dusty Springfield, Crystal Gayle, Sarah Brightman, Whitney Houston, Adele and more.

By then, hopefully, she will have recovered from her other engagement on September 10, joining the thousands bound for South Shields in the Great North Run.
